What About Migraine?

I was hit by a very severe migraine few days ago and the pain was excruciating. It brought back so many painful memories in the past. I was a frequent migraine sufferer in the past and it often last for days to weeks. I was almost migraine free... yup I said almost because I only had mild migraine 2-3 times a year which only lasted for 1-2 days in the past say 3-4 years before I was pregnant.

People often see committing suicide is an act of cowardliness. I can assured you that to kill oneself you need even greater courage to do so. Well, I am not speaking from a 'been there done that" standpoint. Obviously I have not 'done that' or else I wouldn't be writing this post. But I have certainly 'been there', as I had numerous suicidal thoughts before.

Now please do not get all surprised and alarmed that I will attempt such act, ever. If I had the courage I would have done it years ago, but no, I didn't have the gut then and I don't have it now either, so I'm just gonna manage it as it comes. For people who never experience migraine, I must say you are really lucky and for those who do you know how painful it can be. Many a time in the past I really felt like hitting my head against the wall and wished the pain and the suffering would end just like that. Oh well, like I said, I didn't have the gut to do it.

I was telling Keith the other day and it was the very first time I ever confessed to him that I am very afraid each time I get hit by the severe migraine attack. I am afraid that my vain would just pop and I would just gone within seconds without saying goodbye to my loved ones. There were many times when I was having the severe migraine attack, while laying on my bed I was so afraid to shut my eyes fearing that I may not ever wake up.

There were many things could trigger the migraine. For me it could be smell, weather, food, stress or maybe hormone change. I don't know what caused the migraine to lessen tremendously in the past and what trigger it to happen again now. Since 1st Jan 2015 to date, I already have about 4-5 migraine attacks. The strange thing was as often as I used to get migraine, I never bother to goggle it up and find out more about it. I had a CT scan done before at one point because Keith was so worried that I may have a tumor growing in my brain that was causing all the pain. And of course the result was clean. Hope this migraine attack will not be a regular occurrence again though. :(

These time I decided to study a little more about this illness that have haunted me for more than two decades. Doctors usually prescribe painkiller or muscle relaxant for this disease but both meds only help to relieve the pain and the effect for me is usually short lived, hence I don't bother to take any med unless I can no longer stand the pain or if it prolonged. Ultimately, the best way to treat a migraine or severe headache is just, sleep.

Following are some links if you are interested to find out more about this disorder/disease.

Twilight Fever...

Yay! I finally bought my own series of Twilight books yesterday from Popular bookstore. I was reading my niece's copies previously and since now I have my own books, I can read the whole series all over again, and again and again till I get bored with it.

Meanwhile, I can't wait for New Moon to hit the cinema in Nov 2009.

Guess I'm gonna ignore someone once I start reading again. Sorry honey...... :P

I am so in love with da Vamps!!! I think the fever will not go away so soon.... hahaha

Marriage With A Sense of Humour

AN EYE OPENER

Read the following from somewhere about two days ago and find it very meaningful, thus I decided to share it with everyone. Hope you enjoy reading it and hope it inspires you as it did to me.

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big advice on the door on which it was written: "Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym".
In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself.
The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room. The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought: "Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!".
One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.
There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself.
There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: "There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU."
So my dear friends, You are the only person who can revolutionize your life. You are the only person who can influence your happiness, your realization and your success. You are the only person who can help yourself.
Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only one responsible for your life.
"The most important relationship you can have, is the one you have with yourself"
Examine yourself, watch yourself. Don't be afraid of difficulties, impossibilities and losses: be a winner, build yourself and your reality.
The world is like a mirror: it gives back to anyone the reflection of the thoughts in which one has strongly believed.
The world and your reality are like mirrors laying in a coffin, which show to any individual the death of his divine capability to imagine and create his happiness and his success.
It's the way you face Life that makes the difference

Funny Exams's Answers

Occasionally, I do receive some funny e-mails with jokes from friends. But what made me laughed the hardest were those stupid & funny answers given by students during their exams.

Some are plain stupid answer where the students simply have no answer and simply wrote something, but some are real genius with great creativity & imagination! Hats off to those bunch!

Hence, I've decided to compiled them so that you guys could enjoy it as well.

What I've Done?!?

Have not put up any post for slightly more than a week...hmmm...wonder if anyone misses reading my post??? (Hehehe...I know it's very unlikely but no harm for me to dream a little) :P

Where I've been? How come I didn't post anything for so many days? Well....I was actually reading a book that consists of 4 books in one volume. It’s a special ‘Select Editions’ by Reader’s Digest (RD).

They are:

  • The Ambler Warning by Robert Ludlum –Hidden on a remote island is a top-secret facility housing former US intelligence operatives who present a security risk to their government. One of them escapes – only to find that every detail of his past has been erased. On the run, he uncovers a high-level conspiracy to bring about a major shift in the balance of world power.

  • True Believer by Nicholas Sparks – A science journalist, hears about the ghostly lights that appear on foggy nights in a cemetery in North Carolina and sets off to investigate. On arriving in Boone Creek he is charmed by the locals. He soon discovers that logic is no help when it comes to unraveling matters of the human heart.

  • Tyrannosaur Canyon by Douglas Preston – When a fossil hunter makes the discovery of a lifetime in a canyon in New Mexico, he soon has a host of interested parties on his tail, including a greedy collector, a passionate scientist, and a vet, who just wants to do right by a dead man’s daughter. This Indiana-Jones-style adventure novel takes an intriguing look at what caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.

  • Quite Honestly by John Mortimer – When a well-meaning volunteer sets out to reform an ex-con, she finds it isn’t that easy. She hatches a plan o proves her dedication to the cause, which results in the tables being turned in an unexpected way.

Wonder any of you ever read their books? I never heard of them until I received this book from RD. At first I was so happy you know coz I subscribed to RD 1-year issues so I thought they’ve given me this book @ F.O.C.

Just when I’ve read about 80%, RD sent me a ‘Reminder’ and asked me to pay up. @^#^%#!? I don’t recall seeing any bill earlier also. I've finished reading it yesterday so can I return the book now? Can I not pay?

Err…..I was just joking alright. It only cost RM29.90 for 4 books man. Of course I’ll pay. Those are good novels and I’d love to keep it. And I'll certainly look out for more books by the above authors.
