Celebrating the Love of My Life

4th Nov - Today, is the 39th birthday of my beloved hubby, Keith. I am so happy and looking forward to celebrate many more birthdays with him. :) We had a very nice dinner at Vin's Restaurant & Bar in TTDI. At the end of our dinner, they actually sent us a surprise birthday cake (Chocolate truffle with ice cream). The cake was good and the beef ribs and steak we had were superb too. Glad to see my darling enjoyed his day. :)

4th Nov - Today, Cassandra turns 4 months old in heaven. I just miss her so much every minute of every day. Can't shake off the sad feeling especially when I'm on my way home after work every time. How I wish we have our lovely girl to come home to everyday. :(

Life is so unpredictable hence we must always appreciate every moment of our lives.

Trick Or Treats?

Hehehehe...I am really in a very cheeky and happy mood for this Halloween so I ordered 20 pcs of cupcakes from my sis in law with Halloween theme to give away to my colleagues today.

It was really fun as I held the box and go workstation to workstation and said: "Knock, knock! Trick or Treats? Pick One!". I am really happy to see the joy on my colleagues face when they see the cupcakes. It's like all of them become kids again. :)

Following are some photos to share. :)

About Keeping In Shape

Anyone who knows me from my schooling days can testify that I've always been more or less the same size as I am now and then. It is funny for people from different race, age group and even gender to ask me this question, "How do you stay so slim?".

Seriously, I have no answer and I have no secret or any special diet regime to share. I'm serious. Very often, people always think that there must be something I'm doing secretly to stay slim and not willing to share coz when I replied that I don't do anything particular to stay slim, sometimes I get offended looks and I can see from their expressions that they don't believe me.

Alright, if there's really anything I'm doing to make sure I stay slim and not put on weight, just only one thing, it is not a secret, in fact it is what I usually share with people whenever they complain that they can't fit into their existing clothes due to the extra pounds they have gained and having to buy new wardrobes that they can fit into.

I think this is the biggest mistake everyone makes. When you put on a little weight and the pants seems a little tight, you quickly go and buy a new pair of pants in bigger size so that you can wear more comfortably. And after a while, you find that the new pants no longer fit as you have put on some more weight and once again you rush to the department store and get a bigger size that you can fit in nicely. Need I say more? If you keep doing that, before you realise it, you will be out of control!!!! Even though some might say they would keep their old pants/blouses and wait till they lose weight and to use its again. Believe me, it will never happen if you do not discipline yourself.

It's not that I am so Lucky that I can never put on weight. This is not true. I do gain extra pounds on my thighs if I consume too much RICE. Yes, it is my biggest enemy. So I try to avoid it as much as I can. But staying away from rice doesn't help much coz I love to eat, so too much of eating other stuff would also eventually make me gain weight, so what do I do to stay slim all these years while I still get to enjoy all my favourite food?

Mmmmmm.. the trick is...never give in to the extra bulge or tightness. Whenever I feel that my pants are a little tight, I take it as a warning sign and I'll try to cut down all my favourite fatty food. I would never allow myself to make any purchase of new clothes when I know that I have put on some weight coz by doing so, you are giving yourself away. And each time you allow that to happen, one fine day, you will find that you are too far gone and even harder to put off the weight and most people would end up give in and give up.

So you see, there really isn't any secret that I'm keeping from you guys. Just do as I do and you should be able to keep your figure. :)

A&W No More

Today is the 2nd day of CNY. The day to visit my parents, grandma & aunt.

As we know that most restaurants are still closed today so we only have the options of mamak or fast food restaurants. Keith & I decided to go to A&W in PJ (opposite Amcorp Mall) for our quick lunch before heading off to KL.

Keith ordered the Deluxe Double Cheese Burger & I got myself the Double Fortune Burger. Not only the service was slow but when our burgers finally came, both our faces were as black as the charcoal. I've never seen Keith eat his food with such expression. It was supposed to be funny to see him like that but nothing was amusing at all. We have decided never to go to A&W anymore.

We wonder how long A&W can sustain if they continue with such standard.

Double Fortune Burger (ya right!)
Turn out this is what I get.
I called it Triple Pathetic Burger.

This is the Deluxe Double Cheese Burger Keith had.

See how pissed off he was.

Listen to us, do not waste your money people....

My Kota Kinabalu Holiday

Wow, I've not update my blog for almost 1 week already. Actually been kind of busy and I just came back from a short holiday with my darling to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. So, in another word I've also fulfilled another dream of mine, I mean to go back to the place I was born and also the place where I'd spent the first 3-4 years of my childhood.
We were staying in this Magellan Sutera Harbour Resort near the city area, thus everything was very convenient for us as the hotel also provide free shuttle to the city area every hour.
Following are some shots we took during our trip there. We went to Kinabalu Park for jungle trekking, Canopy Walk (Suspension bridge) and also the Poring Hot Spring. All in all it was really fun but it was equally tiring as well. Nevertheless, it was a really nice experience as I have never gone for any jungle trekking before this. Initially, my main concern was my left leg as I had the tendon injury before, though it has recovered and the functionality is 90%, but due to the old injury, it is more vulnerable & prone to injury if I'm not careful. But, thank God, with my determination and faith, I've managed to made it through like the others and I didn't caused any delay to others. So, I'm rather proud of myself, only that now my legs are really aching. But it was worthy! :)

This tree is over 100 years old. It was really tall & huge!

Waiting for our turn to go on the bridge as at one time only max. of 6 people are allowed

We rented a private room for the Hot Spring (Sulfur water)

Don't know what plant is it but it was very nice (Do I look like I'm trying to showcase the flower?)

These are the Giant Bamboo Trees. Couldn't captured the tip of the trees as its so tall. See how small Keith is at the bottom right corner of the pic.

These little insects are very cute coz when you catch it, it would play dead by not moving

The funny thing was, before I go to KK, I heard a lot of people who'd been there saying that KK girls are very pretty but during our trip there we didn't see any pretty girls around. where were all the leng-luis (pretty girls) in KK?

Even though a lot of people say seafood in East Malaysia is very cheap but it 's not entirely true. If you go to those tourists' area, it will cost you more than KL, thus do ask around for places that only locals know about (meaning no tourists) then only you'll get to enjoy fresh & cheap seafood.

I'll definetely want to go back to KK again next time! It is surely a nice place to relax & chill-out.
